Climate Leaders @ Penn Inaugural Fellowship Program

December 23, 2020
graduate student event

This Spring, Climate Leaders @ Penn is piloting a fellowship program which has also been selected as a project to be a part of Yale’s Global University Climate Forum. The Climate Leaders Program for Professional Students at the University of Pennsylvania is a student-led, faculty-advised program for master's and professional students across Penn. This semester-long, implementation-focused program is designed to provide students with an opportunity to engage with others across Penn who share a professional interest in climate-related work, to mentor one another in their development as practitioners, and to develop professional skills and relationships that support growth, excellence and leadership.

The program – which includes career focused events, social occasions, workshops, and a year-end event – will accept up to 15 students from all of Penn’s graduate schools, prioritizing students with a demonstrated interest in climate-related work. It will be led by a team of participating students, with regular input and guidance from Penn advising faculty. The program will be designed to support students’ goals, and will benefit from active participation from each participant.

The deadline for this application will be in two phases; early applicants will be given preference. The first deadline is January 5th by 11:59pm, and the second deadline is January 21th by 11:59pm EST. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance status by January 25th.
