Green Labs Executive Committee Recruitment

July 27, 2021

The numerous labs on campus provide a prime opportunity to reduce our environmental impact and help us reach the goals set forth in Penn’s Climate and Sustainability Action Plan 3.0. The Green Labs program aims to reduce the environmental footprint of Penn's labs in areas like energy, water, and waste, while encouraging strategic procurement and sustainability engagement. The Green Labs Executive Committee (GLEC) guides the Green Labs program and is comprised of representatives from Facilities and Real Estate Services, Procurement, Environmental Health & Radiation Safety, and at-large researchers. The Green Labs Executive Committee is currently seeking additional at-large researchers. The GLEC does not have term limits. On average, at-large researchers who are members of the committee serve two to five (2-5) years. At-large researchers can be graduate/PhD students, post-docs, staff, or faculty and must be available to attend monthly meetings. At-large researchers can come from any School/Center and Department/Office at Penn, though we are particularly interested in recruiting researchers in the following Schools:

  • Penn Dental Medicine
  • School of Veterinary Medicine
  • School of Nursing
  • School of Arts and Sciences
  • School of Engineering & Applied Sciences

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis and are due by 5pm on Friday, August 13, 2021. Apply here: bit.ly/pennglec
