Green2Go Containers Reduce Waste

It’s hard to believe that the Green2Go food containers offered by Penn Dining started as a Green Fund project in 2013. Since then, the program of reusable dining containers has expanded and improved and is now widely available in all campus dining halls. These to-go food containers that can be sterilized and re-used have helped to significantly reduce the clear plastic clamshell container waste during the pandemic when taking one’s meal to go was a standard. This year, all students living in the college houses received a new Green2Go container at move in. All students, staff and faculty are welcome to participate in this program at residential dining locations and can check with Penn Dining’s Green2Go FAQ page to get started.
