StairWELL installation

June 21, 2018

In an effort to promote wellness and reduce energy consumption, the Center for Public Health Initiatives (CPHI) and Penn School of Medicine (PSOM) collaborated on a successful Green Fund project entitled “StairWELL” focusing on promoting more use of the stairways in the Anatomy Chemistry Building, as well as other locations on campus. CPHI and PSOM staff worked with a local firm to create motivational stairwell designs that promoted health and well-being while adding improved lighting, vinyl wall graphics, and motivational signage. This initiative is supported by Healthy Penn, a cross-sector partnership at the University of Pennsylvania between the Center for Public Health Initiatives , Human Resources, Campus Health, Penn Recreation, Penn Athletics, and the Penn Sustainability Office.
