Penn Dining has a strong commitment to maintaining both your health and the health of our planet. In order to ensure that we are following COVID-19 protocols as well as continuing our efforts to lower the amount of waste in our dining program, we need your help. Please read the information below carefully to see how you can help us balance safety and sustainability efforts.


Green2Go is Penn Dining's signature reusable to-go program designed to eliminate the number of disposable items entering the waste stream. You can now will request a Green2Go container at the following designated platforms:

  • 1920 Commons: Comfort 
  • Hill House: Chef's Table
  • Lauder College House: Hot Serving Line

Reusable bags are here! In order to reduce the impact our new service style has on the environment, we will no longer be providing single use bags. We will supply each student with one reusable blue Penn Dining approved bag which we highly recommend you bring with you for each visit. Once you have your bag, personalize it! Buttons and pins are a fun way to make your bag uniquely yours! Let's cut down on waste together.

Current Recycling Program

During the summer, Penn Dining and Bon Appetit worked closely with the team at Penn Sustainability to determine what packaging would best deliver meals to you as well as being recyclable. Please review the signage (click on the image below) to help guide you in how to sort your waste.


Choose not to receive disposable utensils when ordering in-person and on the app. Use your own reusable silverware back in your room, or keep some in your backpack for when you're on the go!
