The Life Cycle of Penn's Waste
Penn’s campus waste is far more than just Trash and Recycling. Composting is widely available, yet collection points vary from building to building. On our large academic and research campus with health care facilities and ongoing construction projects, we also have medical waste, protective gloves, face masks, and construction site waste to manage. An assortment of waste haulers and collection sites add to the assortment of materials that move off-campus in various waste streams each day. To help clarify this complex issue, the sustainability team along with student support and Penn’s Urban Park staff created an informative graphic, The Life Cycle of Penn's Waste.
