Jared Farmer (Walter H. Annenberg Professor of History) will provide a deep dive into Penn's own past. His presentation, based on research in the University Archives, will include over 100 images, graphs, and charts. The purpose is to provide a historical overview and an ethical scorecard of the relationships between Penn and fossil fuel from the nineteenth century to the present. His hope is that the Penn community will use this historical knowledge to magnify and accelerate the University's current action on climate.
