The Student Advisory Group for the Environment (SAGE) serves as a body by which students can participate in the planning and implementation of the Climate and Sustainability Action Plan 3.0 (CSAP 3.0). In addition to SAGE’s advisory role, the group also communicates and promotes environmentally-focused resources and serves to increase transparency between the student body and administration regarding environmental sustainability initiatives.
SAGE was formed in the fall of 2017 to allow undergraduate and graduate students to provide feedback on Penn’s Climate Action Plan 2.0, launched in 2014, and progress to date on these CAP 2.0 goals. This feedback also served as input for the next 5-year campus sustainability plan, the CSAP 3.0, which launched in the fall of 2019.
SAGE includes representation from the Undergraduate Assembly (UA), the Graduate and Professional Student Assembly (GAPSA), the Student Sustainability Association at Penn (SSAP), Climate Leaders @ Penn, the Penn Sustainability Office, and at-large student membership.
Applications for SAGE at-large membership for the 2022/2023 Academic Year are now closed. All undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to check back at this page in the Spring of 2023 to apply to participate for the 2023/2024 Academic Year.
